Firstly, let me express my excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to lead this incredible community. I am committed to the growth, success, and overall well-being of students and staff. Together, we will create a learning environment that is supportive, inclusive, and conducive to the personal and academic development of all students.

As the new principal, I am driven by a profound commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive community within our school. I firmly believe that when students, parents, and teachers form strong partnerships, we empower our students to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.

Our team of dedicated teachers and staff are ready to provide an outstanding International Baccalaureate education. We will challenge students intellectually, help them discover and develop their talents, and pave the way for their personal growth. Each day, we will push the boundaries of what students believe is possible and inspire them to reach new heights.

Research shows that involvement in activities like athletics, the arts, or clubs can support student success in high school. We are confident that students will find a sense of belonging through the diverse opportunities available in academics, clubs and activities, athletics, and extracurricular activities.

At Palmer, we believe in the power of kindness, understanding, and empathy. We prioritize fostering a restorative community where all students feel valued, respected, and empowered to achieve their full potential. We encourage students to extend a helping hand, be inclusive, and treat one another with respect.

We encourage all parents to stay actively involved in their child's education by attending parent-teacher conferences, joining our School Accountability committee, and utilizing our electronic platforms to stay informed about important school updates and events.

My vision is to lead Palmer in becoming the premier International Baccalaureate World School on the Front Range. We aim to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people. I am committed to the work in progress at Palmer but know there is more work to be done to create a stronger environment of academic excellence and belonging for all students.

Please know that I welcome communication from you at any time. I can be reached at krista.burke@d11.org or (719) 328-5042.
