It is an honor to serve as principal of Palmer High School and to continue leading this incredible community. As I enter my fourth year as principal, I remain deeply committed to the growth, success, and well-being of our students and staff. Together, we are building a learning environment where all students feel supported, challenged, and empowered to achieve their personal and academic goals.
Over the past few years, our Palmer community has embraced an exciting period of growth and transformation. I am especially grateful for the work of our Renovation Steering Committee, whose thoughtful collaboration, feedback, and advocacy helped shape the vision for the improvements taking place across our campus. Their efforts ensured that the voices of students, staff, families, and community members were reflected throughout the planning process.
As our renovation project continues, we are seeing that vision come to life through updated learning spaces designed to support collaboration, innovation, and student achievement. These investments honor Palmer's rich history while creating modern environments that will serve current and future generations of Terrors. The renovation represents more than a facilities upgrade; it is a commitment to providing students with an exceptional educational experience.
Our team of dedicated teachers and staff provides an outstanding International Baccalaureate education that challenges students intellectually, helps them discover and develop their talents, and prepares them for success beyond high school. Each day, we encourage students to think critically, act with integrity, and pursue opportunities that expand their understanding of themselves and the world around them.
Research shows that involvement in athletics, the arts, clubs, and other extracurricular activities support student success in high school. We are committed to ensuring that every student finds a sense of belonging through the diverse opportunities available at Palmer and develops meaningful connections with peers, staff, and the community.
At Palmer, we believe in the power of kindness, understanding, and empathy. We are committed to creating a school community where all students feel valued, respected, and empowered to achieve their full potential. We encourage students to extend a helping hand, be inclusive, embrace diverse perspectives, and treat one another with respect.
Strong partnerships between students, families, and educators are essential for student success. We encourage parents and guardians to stay actively involved in their child's education by attending conferences, participating in the School Accountability Committee, and utilizing our communication platforms to stay informed about important school updates and events.
My vision is for Palmer to continue growing as the premier International Baccalaureate World School on the Front Range. We strive to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who are prepared to make a positive impact on the world. While I am proud of the progress we have made together, I know there is still important work ahead as we continue strengthening a culture of academic excellence and belonging for every student.
Please know that I welcome your partnership and communication at any time.
