DIGITAL MEDIA STUDIES COURSE PROGRESSION INFORMATION
WBL EXPERIENCE AND INTERNSHIP 1 and 2
Course Length: 2 Semesters
Grade Level: 10-12
Credit per Semester: 1.0 (Humanities or Elective)

Work-Based Learning is a continuum of activities that occur, in part or in whole, in the workplace, providing the learner with hands-on, real-world experience. Work-Based learning involves; Site Visits, Recorded Informational Interviews, Work Readiness Training, Job Shadows, Internships
Students in this class will be doing a variety of activities that may include running the S.T.E.A.M. Factory, which is the school store and fabrication lab, where students will be creating items for the school store and community clients. Students who take this class after taking Game Programming and Design will be making software for real clients. Students should approach this class the same way they would a job and will keep time logs of their participation and work. This class may require time outside of the school day on occasion.
